The Fife Coastal Path

The Fife Coastal Path runs from North Queensferry in the south to Tayport in the north. We have fairly regularly done sections either side of Burntisland to Aberdour and Kinghorn but have always intented to completed the entire 80 miles.

Here are some photographs of our walk from South Queensferry, across the Forth Road Bridge, as far as Aberdour.

For those of you who don't know, John & I have a bit of a penchant for modernist houses.  I see this one regularly from the train on my commute to work so couldn't resist taking a picture.

The Forth Bridge is so big that as soon as maintenance crews have finished painting it ,its time to start again. Thus, any task which can never be completed is said to be 'like painting the Forth Bridge'. No more - the bridge has recently had its famous red paint replaced with an epoxy resin expected to last 20-30 years.
.

For some reason I had a bit of a thing for photographing jettys, no explanation.
